IV Therapy
IV (intravenous) therapy hydrates your body while providing vitamins directly into your bloodstream for faster absorption and quicker onset of recovery. Getting IVs improves hydration levels, boosts your immune system, provides mental clarity, aids in muscle recovery, and benefits overall wellness by bypassing your gastrointestinal tract for better retention. Sessions are designed to help you rehydrate, recharge, and support your body’s natural recovery processes.
Benefits of IV Therapies
What should I expect during my IV therapy session?
You’ll first complete an informed consent form as well as a brief medical history form designed by doctors specializing in IV therapies to assure you’re a safe candidate to receive vitamin therapies.
Our nurse will then discuss with you and the medical director team of doctors to mutually decide which vitamins will best suit your wellness goals.
You’ll then have your IV placed and vitamin infusion started. Length of IV time averages between 30-90 minutes; it is dependent on your selected IV, your vasculature, hydration levels upon time of IV placement, and body stature for optimal fluid flow rates.
If you prefer to receive the vitamin shot instead of an IV then the nurse will discuss proper placement site and safely administer your shot. This quick and easy appointment should last about 15 minutes.
What does a vitamin infusion feel like?
Normal saline is the form of fluids that you will be receiving during your IV; it is our body's version of water and is the same as the tears in our eyes. You will feel the effects of the fluids immediately but the onset of vitamins averages 12-24 hours after infusion. Average duration of IV vitamins effects are 1-2 weeks; personal metabolism rates and medical histories can influence length of time for duration of benefits.
Most clients describe the experience as feeling better immediately upon IV completion, depending on their reason for receiving an IV.
Vitamin shots have a similar onset of 12-24 hours after time of administration and a similar duration effects of 1-2 weeks.
How frequently should I get IVs?
Individual IV sessions typically last 60-90 minutes, depending on your personal vasculature and which vitamins you’ve chosen to receive.
Many clients schedule 1–2 IVs per month depending on their wellness requirements and health histories, though frequency can be adjusted based on individual needs and providers suggestions.
Our team of doctors and nurses can help you determine a schedule that best fits your lifestyle.
